I know that you are all bored hearing about our hotels but please indulge me a bit longer... then I promise I will talk about cycling.

After breakfast we headed off deciding to stick to the main roads to make up some miles we lost after yesterday’s mobbings and hospitality.

We had been offered a meal in a restaurant the night before by a guy who allegedly used to work on the QE2 for “the family”. We were so tried we turned it down as it was a trek across town - but he did organise some pasta which was a nice change from the curry.

Left another hotel with no hot water! Lovely morning ride following the side roads of Kerala with its Portuguese influence - Rain forest and waterways. The monsoon has caused floods in Kerala and its still incredibly wet.

Set off early fueled by a couple of bananas in search of breakfast and money. The first ATM was closed so we cycled onto the next town. Finally found an ATM which worked so could afford to eat. Went to one of the many small road side stalls which sell a fried potato patty with bread.
